NCU INTENSE Program

Posted at 2025-11-05 11:25:39

The INTENSE Program, initiated by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education in collaboration with the National Development Council, aims to attract talented international students to study and build careers in Taiwan’s key industries, including STEM, finance, and semiconductors. Centered on industry–academia collaboration, universities and enterprises jointly recruit and train students through customized curricula, internships, and co-teaching by professors and industry experts.
The program provides strong financial and academic support, including one-way airfare, administrative fee coverage, tuition scholarships for up to two years, and monthly stipends. Students complete a two-year learning and internship plan, followed by employment in Taiwan, where partner companies have priority in hiring.
Through an integrated pathway—from language preparation and academic study to internship and job placement—the INTENSE Program fosters a sustainable “train–stay–employ” model. It aims to strengthen Taiwan’s talent pipeline, address demographic challenges, and enhance national competitiveness in global high-tech industries.
