Taiwan-Europe Semiconductor Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Nationality:  Albania, the Czech Republic, the Kosovo Republic, Lithuania, Poland or Slovakia
  • Program: admitted to a master's/ PhD programs in one of the following departments: Chemistry, Optics and Photonics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Must NOT have previously enrolled in a degree program of the same level in Taiwan.
  • Must NOT have had their scholarship eligility revoked by any government agency or relevant institution in Taiwan.

 

Benefits:

  • Airfare: One round-trip economy-class flight ticket, with a maximum of NTD50,000 (approx. EUR 1,562) per leg, and a total maximum reimbursement of NTD100, 000 (approx. EUR 3,125)
  • Tuition Subsidy: up to NTD60,000 (approx. EUR1,875) per semester
  • Monthly Stipend: NTD30, 000 (approx. EUR 940) for master's students/ NTD40, 000 (approx. EUR 1,250) for PhD students

 

Maximum Duration: 

  • Master's students: up to 2 years
  • PhD students: up to 4 years

 

Renewal Requirements: maintainn a cumulative GPA of 70 or above (on a 100-point scale)

 

How to apply: Eligible students are automatically considered for this scholarship. No further procedures are required.

 

Important Note:

1.Each semester, tuition fees up to NTD 60,000 (EUR 1,875) will be waived. The recipients shall bear other fees on their own.

2.During the study period, recipients are required to complete at least one course related to semiconductors.

3.Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact faculty members who engaged in semiconductor-related research and who have expressed willingness to supervise students under this scholarship.
