Government Scholarship
Besides NCU International Student Scholarship, international students could also apply for scholarship offered by Taiwan Government. There included “Taiwan Scholarship” provided by Ministry of Education (MOE) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and “TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Programs” offered Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF). Details regarding the stipend, coverage, and duration for each scholarship are as follows:
MOE Taiwan Scholarship
- Duration: undergraduate (up to 4 years), master’s (up to 2 years), Ph.D. (up to 4 years),
- Monthly stipends: NT$15,000 for undergraduates, NT$20,000 for master’s or Ph.D. students
- Waivers: tuition and selected fees

MOFA Taiwan Scholarship
- Duration: undergraduate (up to 4 years), master’s (up to 2 years), Ph.D. (up tp 4 years)
- Monthly stipend: NT$33,000
- Additional benefit: one-way, economy-class plane tickets for direct flights to and from Taiwan

TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Programs
- Duration: master’s (up to 2 years), Ph.D. (up to 4 years)
- Monthly stipend: NT$18,000 for master’s students, NT$20,000 for Ph.D. students
- Waivers: tuition fee and credit fee
- Additional benefits: most-direct flights to and from Taiwan with economy class ticket, coverages of on-campus student dormitories, insurance, and book
